An illustration produced to work alongside and essay on Ideas vs Aesthetics in the visual communication industry A cute illustration I used for my CV based on the idea of communication Another illustration used to work alongside an essay on Ideas vs Aesthetics I had a specific request for this image from someone at a convention who liked the sketch in my sketchbook. I finally got round to producing it this year. Sometimes it's fun to do something really dark, here I wanted to make it look cute, sparkly and dark all at the same time! I love the aesthetics of steampunk and wanted to experiment creating a steampunk inspired illustration! This was a one day project on representing another classmate. I created a short comic basing my illustrations on drawing from my subject. I love contrasts and wanted to show two contrasting characters together in one illustration. I really love expressing emotion through my illustrations and wanted to express the feeling of being totally overwhelmed by everything. I love loud music and that feeling of being surrounding by music and drowning your thoughts with sound. Quite a dark piece which was fun to draw! A fashion illustration i produced for our university magazine, Less Common. A piece for a project on the new East London line, I just drew this wanting to have some fun creating some interesting characters on the platform. I loved designing her cute outfit! Illustration for Angela Carter's 'The Tiger's Bride'. I wanted to creat an atomsphereic book illustration portraying the story through all the details and interesting objects. Another piece for the previous project, this image shows The Beast revealing who he really is. This is an illustration I used in creating my first digital picture book! Hopefully I'll get it online soon. My latest project is about the Lady of Shallot. I'm creating another digital picture book inspired by this haunting poem.
